    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <b>Position Title:&nbsp; Cluster Nurse</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Division:&nbsp; Family &amp; Student Support</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Reports To:&nbsp; Director of Mental Health &amp; Wellness and Lead Nurse</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>FLSA Status:&nbsp; Exempt if RN; Non-Exempt if LPN</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Salary Schedule:&nbsp;HC2-2 or HC2-3</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Work Days:&nbsp; 185 Days</b>\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div style=\"font-weight: bold\">\n</div><b>Essential Duties:</b>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Serve as a resource for Clinic Aides.&nbsp; Provide feedback to supervisor for Clinic Aide evaluation. <span> </span></li>\n  <li>Assist school staff in developing individualized plans for students with identified health conditions, in collaboration with parents and healthcare providers.<span> </span></li>\n  <li>Provide training to designated school staff (Clinic Aides, Paraprofessionals, Teachers, etc.) on the implementation of the Individualized Health Management Plan (IHMP, Action Plans, 504 plans) including any appropriate specialized health care plan procedures needed for a student to attend school.<span> </span></li>\n  <li>Provide training and professional development for school staff members regarding student health related issues, as needed, and in coordination with the Lead Nurse, which may include new Clinic Aide and clinic substitute training. <span> </span></li>\n  <li>As needed or requested, consult and support school personnel, parents, and students on student health issues including assisting local schools in the development of those areas of 504 plans related to student health concerns and medical consideration.<span> </span></li>\n  <li>Adhere to district policies and regulations; use clinical knowledge base for decision-making in nursing practices.</li>\n  <li>Deliver nursing services consistent with Georgia Board of Nursing rules and regulations; work within the scope of practice as appropriate per nursing licensure.<span> </span>&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Ensure nursing procedures are efficient, safe, and effective.<span> </span></li>\n  <li>Maintain accurate documentation of clinic services including emergency situations.&nbsp; <span> </span></li>\n  <li>Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior including maintenance of confidentiality at all times.</li>\n  <li>Serve as a liaison between staff, parents, community health practitioners, and health agencies for the purpose of obtaining and interpreting health information pertinent to educational planning.<span> </span></li>\n  <li>Work with the Lead Nurse in establishing system-wide health procedures and guidelines, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, to be used in the care of students in the clinics and schools.</li>\n  <li>Assist schools in managing communicable diseases, including the implementation of infection control procedures, in collaboration with Lead Nurse, local public health department, and healthcare providers.</li>\n  <li>Present professional and well-groomed appearance according to the district dress code.<span> </span></li>\n  <li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by appropriate administrator.&nbsp;</li>\n </ul>\n <div>\n  <div>\n   <b>Qualifications:</b>\n  </div>\n  <div>\n   <div>\n    <ul>\n     <li>Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred; minimum of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required. Valid nursing licensure in the State of Georgia required.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>BSN/BS in health-related field preferred.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>CPR certification required.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>Community health nursing experience in public health, hospital, and/or related medical facility required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n     <li>Knowledge of fundamental nursing concepts, practices, and procedures, essential.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>Three (3) years of pediatric nursing experience preferred.&nbsp; Experience in a school setting preferred.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>Ability to provide specialized health-related services on a direct and indirect basis required.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>Skills in training and supervision of health-related procedures required.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all educators, students, staff, families, and other stakeholders.<span> </span></li>\n     <li>Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n     <li>Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n     <li>Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.&nbsp;</li>\n     <li>Ability to be present at the physical worksite.</li>\n     <li>Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.</li>\n     <li>Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.&nbsp;</li>\n     <li>Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.</li>\n     <li>Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.</li>\n    </ul>\n   </div>\n  </div>\n </div>\n</div>",
