We are a fast-paced growing practice that is always looking for new talent and great employees to enhance our team.</p>\n<p>You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways:</p>\n<p><strong>What is in it for you</strong></p>\n<p>Compensation is $52.00 - $54.00 per hour based on experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the pre-operational period</li>\n <li>Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for management of the recovery room</li>\n <li>Organizes nursing activities efficiently, considering staff abilities when delegating activities</li>\n <li>Uses equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care</li>\n <li>Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice</li>\n <li>Assists in managing inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the postoperative area</li>\n <li>Maintains order and cleanliness of postoperative area</li>\n <li>Performs safe and individualized nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/postanesthesia period</li>\n <li>Assesses and documents the patient’s physical and emotional status upon arrival in the recovery room</li>\n <li>Documents postanesthesia care and identity of second person in the recovery room during the patient’s recovery fromanesthesia/sedation according to approved policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered</li>\n <li>Monitors patients and informs surgeon or anesthetist of observed complications</li>\n <li>Performs thorough postoperative patient assessment prior to discharge of the patient</li>\n <li>Assists in assessing the physical and emotional status of the patient in preparation for discharge</li>\n <li>Develops a plan of care for the patient based on the assessment data</li>\n <li>Reviews postoperative instructions and prescriptions from the surgeon with patient and significant other and documents in the patient’s medical record</li>\n <li>Informs patient and family about appropriate care and procedure to follow upon returning home</li>\n <li>Determines that patient and significant other understand conditions that require immediate care/method to obtain immediate care</li>\n <li>Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and promotes privacy and dignity</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school graduate or GED certificate recipient</li>\n <li>Graduate of accredited school of nursing</li>\n <li>RN with active license</li>\n <li>CPR certification</li>\n <li>Evidence of leadership qualities</li>\n <li>Strong ethical and moral character references</li>\n</ul>",
