Embark at Benton is seeking a <strong>Life Coach / Behavioral Health Associate </strong>to mentor young males (ages 12 - 17) in a <strong>residential treatment program</strong>!. Given the needs of our program, we strongly encourage <strong>male applicants</strong> to apply to serve as positive role models for the young men in our care, however we welcome applications from all qualified candidates and are committed to building a diverse team. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This hands on role involves <strong>significant physical activity</strong> and direct engagement in <strong>experiential therapies</strong> such as art, music, yoga, hiking, fitness, and outdoor adventure therapy. As a key member of our <strong>multidisciplinary treatment team</strong>, you will help create a <strong>structured, supportive environment</strong> where adolescents can heal and develop essential life skills. Given the physical nature of this role, we encourage candidates who feel comfortable with these demands to apply.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Located near the <strong>Hiwassee River and Tennessee mountains</strong>, our <strong>therapeutic wilderness setting</strong> provides the perfect backdrop for transformation. Our <strong>home-like residential program</strong> fosters healing for both clients and staff, offering an opportunity to make a lasting impact while growing personally and professionally. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain safe boundaries and relationships with students and staff, utilizing verbal de-escalation or physical intervention techniques as needed.</li>\n <li>Serve as a positive role model, fostering a supportive atmosphere and encouraging teen engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs) and coping skills.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with Team Leads and Shift Supervisors to facilitate student schedules, ensure safety, and support daily campus operations.</li>\n <li>Provide support during classroom instruction, campus events, and recreation therapy, actively engaging with students and staff.</li>\n <li>Communicate important observations and updates to the Program Director, ensuring clear and timely information flow.</li>\n <li>Document client progress notes daily at the end of each shift to track progress and ensure continuity of care.</li>\n <li>Respond to feedback with a positive outlook while promoting a safe and empathetic environment for students</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Age:</strong> 21+ years of age or older</li>\n <li><strong>Education</strong>: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
