We work with partners including Panasonic, Middleby, Kenwood, Instant Pot Brands, Bosch, GE Appliances, Arda and LG, and operate as a global team with offices in Dublin and Madrid. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Fresco is looking for a Backend Engineer to work on our kitchen platform: the Fresco KitchenOS to deliver delightful experiences to our users. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Reporting to the Engineering Manager for Platform &amp; Firmware, you will building platform capabilities and supporting production operations.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Your Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Develop reliable and scalable backend services on Python for our IoT devices and mobile clients across  ~20 Lambda-based microservices (Python 3.14, AWS CDK, aws-lambda-powertools) covering device control, cooking sessions, media, recipes, auth, AI and more</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Execute cloud to cloud integrations with new partners</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Be on shift looking after the platform, frequency: 1 week every 4-5 weeks (Remunerated).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Stay up-to-date with innovations and changes in the industry</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What We're Looking For</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">3+ years building backend services in Python</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong grasp of event-driven architecture: EventBridge, SQS/SNS, async patterns</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">AWS Lambda + CDK in production — not just familiarity</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Observability: structured logging, distributed tracing (Datadog or equivalent)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">You ship faster because of AI, not despite learning it.
