RESPONSIBILITIES:
The person in this position:
Maintains positive employee relations with all employees through effective administration of company policies. Effective management of a collective bargaining agreement in a union environment. Advises and guides management in the effective utilization of human resources. Holds responsibility for decision making with respect to terminations and performance counseling to assure consistent enforcement of policies and procedures as not to violate any state or federal law. Is responsible for the effective administration of all company benefit plans. Maintains the plant's affirmative action program. Assist in On-boarding, tracking Career and Performance program, Succession Planning, and annual wage increases. Lead the development and execution of training programs. Assist in completion of payroll and maintaining time and attendance program. Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on overseeing the development of the Safety and Security Programs to meet OSHA and corporate requirements, to assure safe and healthy working conditions, and reduce frequency of accidents. Accountable for developing the supervisor of safety/security/medical on managing the workers' compensation and non-work-related disability programs that control costs and ensure quality care for employees through coordination with the medical community. Maintains the Human Resources Information System to ensure it accurately reflects human resource and payroll information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
A bachelor's degree or equivalent employee relations experience.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resource Management or Generalist role.
Previous HR leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.
A strong pattern of initiative, achievement, and leadership.
Proven problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
Preferred
Experience with collective bargaining agreements.

Pay Range & Benefits:
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $98,100 - $137,300 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will ,depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
