The Group is on a strategic journey toward an IPO in the next 1–2 years, and we’re strengthening our Direct Tax function with a high-performing Chartered Accountant based in Surat. Role Purpose: We’re hiring a Direct Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, litigation, and transfer pricing for a high-growth retail group. You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance to manage tax assessments, design efficient tax strategies, and support IPO-readiness. Ideal for CAs who’ve worked in-house in a corporate role or in Big 4/Big 10 direct tax verticals. Key Responsibilities: Drive direct tax strategy in alignment with Company goals. Handle Transfer Pricing documentation, compliance, and planning. Lead direct tax litigation and represent company during assessments and scrutiny. Coordinate with legal counsel and consultants for tax cases and statutory queries. Monitor updates in Income Tax, TDS, and Transfer Pricing laws; implement changes. Manage Advance Tax, TDS Returns, and other direct tax filings. Provide internal advisory to finance and business units for tax-efficient structuring. Keep the company audit-ready from a direct tax perspective. Candidate Profile: CA Qualified with 2 or 2+ years of post qualification experience. Corporate Experience in Direct Taxation is prefered Alternately, Big 4/Big 10 CA firm experience in Direct Tax vertical is acceptable Expertise in Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing, Litigation & TDS. Currently based in Surat or willing to relocate (no accommodation provided). Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Why Join Us?
