    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>OVERVIEW</strong></p><p>The primary role of this position is to meet the logistical needs of on-campus transfers, local driving, regional driving, and optional OTR shipments. Will have truck on lease and assigned to selected driver.</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS</strong></p><p>&bull; Performs pre-trip inspections on vehicle and reports any problems to the onsite Ryder &amp; PFI automotive mechanic and/or takes equipment to the shop for repairs. DVIR required.</p><p>&bull; Ensure trucks are fueled.</p><p>&bull; Responsible for maintaining an E-log when applicable.</p><p>&bull; Responsible for keeping the truck and trailers clean and organized.</p><p>&bull; Tanker shipments within Michigan and to the tri-state area.</p><p>&bull; Local shipments to and from Lansing, MI Grand Rapids, MI Benton Harbor, MI Coloma, MI Traverse City, MI and any other local shipments.</p><p>&bull; Operate a B-Train trailer for seasonal needs to Grand Rapids, MI Traverse City, MI and Coloma, MI.</p><p>&bull; Ensure load has the proper paperwork as to what is being transferred. Ensure proper securement and/or reefer settings.</p><p>&bull; Take instruction from Yard Supervisor and assist with transfers when needed.</p><p>&bull; Ensure all product produced at Main Plant is transferred to OCFS (off season) at the end of shift. During season hand off paperwork to the 2nd shift driver.</p><p>&bull; Occasionally transfer non-perishable items such as packaging supplies, equipment, etc. from plant to plant.</p><p>&bull; Other duties as assigned.</p><p>&bull; Zero Haz-Mat shipments. Will not be required.</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>Education &bull; High school graduate or equivalent&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Class A CDL required</p><p>&bull; Must obtain tanker endorsement &bull; Must obtain doubles endorsement</p><p><strong>Work Experience&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&bull; 2 years minimum driving experience&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; 2 years preferred manufacturing environment experience</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Skills and Knowledge</strong></p><p>&bull; Knowledge of DOT safety regulations and ability to follow them properly.</p><p>&bull; Safely drive Commercial Motor Vehicles &amp; comply with all speed limits and laws.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to follow and comply with quality standards.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; May be required to obtain and maintain valid hi-lo license.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to work as contributing member within the team.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to frequently lift/move material weighing up to 50 pounds.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Ability to operate a PC (keyboard/mouse).</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p><p>&bull; None</p><p><strong>BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p>As part of a team-based work environment, must be able to demonstrate the following Job Competencies:</p><p><strong>Job Competencies</strong></p><p>&bull; Reliability/Dependability &ndash; Responds to internal customer needs, questions, and concerns in accurate and timely manner.
