The primary focus is to apply engineering expertise to lead and support projects that enhance personnel safety, total process safety, finished product quality, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency.<br><br><strong>Specific Job Duties&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong><ul><li>Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities; recommend and implement data-driven solutions that enhance performance, safety, and efficiency.</li><li>Support daily operations through active involvement in production, maintenance, and contractor supervision as required.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to resolve process and maintenance-related challenges.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.</li><li>Engage with operations, maintenance, and contractor teams to sustain and improve facility reliability, equipment performance, and safety programs.</li><li>Lead and participate in technical training initiatives to develop the skills and knowledge of operational team members.</li><li>Manage capital projects up to $5 million and serve as an active stakeholder on project teams executing capital investments exceeding $5 million.</li><li>Demonstrate leadership in fostering a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset; actively support process safety initiatives, with knowledge of PSM programs considered an asset.</li><li>Partner with external plant teams (CAPEX, Technology, Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Quality/Food Safety, Performance Excellence, and Performance Management) to drive and execute continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Lead contractor teams during project execution, ensuring strict adherence to occupational and process safety standards.</li></ul><strong>Education Requirements</strong><ul><li><strong>Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Engineering (Chemical, Agricultural, &amp; Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred)</strong></li></ul><strong>Experience Requirements</strong><ul><li><strong>3 or more years of experience in a Process/Production Engineering role in continuous manufacturing environment (food/feed/chemicals mfg strongly preferred)</strong></li></ul><strong>Required Skills.</strong><ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross functional teams.</li><li>Working knowledge of engineering drawings and documentation, such as P&amp;IDs and control narratives.</li><li>Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently</li><li>High level of motivation and results-oriented way of working.</li><li>MS Office Suite</li></ul><strong>Preferred Skills</strong><ul><li>Experience working in manufacturing and/or construction industry</li><li>Experience with Capital Project Management</li><li>Engineering Software/tools (CAD, Statistical Analysis, Process Modeling)</li></ul><strong>Environment</strong><ul><li>50% in the field, 50% desk work</li><li>Walk long distances</li><li>Stand and sit interchangeably for various periods</li><li>Climb stairs and ladders</li><li>Lift 50 lbs</li></ul><div>Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
