    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Role &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Document exports by preparing bills of lading, export declarations, certificates of origin and<br>related documents.</li>\n<li>Maintain quality results by following export standards, procedures and regulations.</li>\n<li>Merge carriers’ flight schedules into customers’ product delivery activities.</li>\n<li>Generate freight transfer and support with appropriate documentation.</li>\n<li>Originate documentation with shippers’ Letter of Instruction (SLI) and/or Letter of Credit<br>for accuracy of a) shipper/consignee marks and numbers; b) calculations of weight, volume,<br>dimensions, inland cartage and freight charges/goods description/clauses and delivery<br>terms, and check Third Party documents for correctness.</li>\n<li>Communicate closely with customers and carriers on status of shipment.</li>\n<li>Work closely with field sales staff in order to respond promptly to customers’ needs.</li>\n<li>Supply sufficient documentation that will accurately verify all airline/trucking invoices<br>before payment approval.</li>\n<li>Effectively apply up-to-date records on tariff/contract rates provided by available carriers –<br>airlines, oceanic, inland/interstate trucking, etc.</li>\n<li>Work closely with warehouse personnel in performing combined duties.</li>\n<li>Suggest and implement corrective action in case of issues that may arise.</li>\n<li>Keep current with Hazardous Material license/certification.</li>\n<li>Perform other duties that may be assigned by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some college or AA degree from an accredited college.</li>\n<li>Minimum two years’ experience in freight forwarding.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Air Export process.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of carrier contracts and tariffs and federal and state government carrier<br></li>\n<li>Knowledge of export licenses and Carnet procedures.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Inco-Terms.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of processing shipments from beginning to end.</li>\n<li>Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management, </li>\n<li>independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills.</li>\n<li>Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.</li>\n<li>Proven ability to suggest and implement corrective actions in case of issues that may arise.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.9); font-size: 10pt\">MEC values our Total Rewards, and offers a competitive and elaborate Benefits Package including, but not limited to, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life &amp; Disability Insurance, Sick, and Vacation.
