APPLICATIONS WITH COPIES OF CARDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.</strong></p><p data-gid=\"3097\"><br data-gid=\"3098\"></p><p data-gid=\"3099\">The Protective Services Officer (PSO) is tasked with providing uniformed, armed security and protection services at critical incidents and disasters such as wildfires, earthquakes, hurricanes, protests and incidents of civil unrest. CAI provides PSOs to public safety agencies throughout the United States. This is a <strong data-gid=\"3100\"><em data-gid=\"3101\">seasonal on call position</em></strong>. Military veterans, retired law enforcement and correctional officers are strongly encouraged to apply.&nbsp;</p><p data-gid=\"3102\">&nbsp;As with all CAI roles, qualified candidates must have the highest level of professionalism, common sense and ability to competently operate in a continually evolving environment.&nbsp;</p><p data-gid=\"3103\">&nbsp;</p><p data-gid=\"3104\"><strong data-gid=\"3105\">Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul data-gid=\"3106\"><li data-gid=\"3107\">Ensure the overall safety and security of public safety support staff, incident command posts, airports, municipal business districts, and other similar locations.</li><li data-gid=\"3108\">Provide access control and the monitoring of entrances, exits, perimeters, and surrounding areas.&nbsp;</li><li data-gid=\"3109\">Maintain a professional work environment which provides the highest level of customer service while maintaining the highest level of safety and security.</li><li data-gid=\"3110\">Work alongside law enforcement agencies, fire departments, military units and local, state and government agencies.</li><li data-gid=\"3111\">Ability to work shifts ranging between 8 - 12 hours a day.</li><li data-gid=\"3112\">Represent CAI at the highest professional level.&nbsp;</li><li data-gid=\"3113\">Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.</li><li data-gid=\"3114\">Conducts ongoing threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments at assigned sites.&nbsp;</li><li data-gid=\"3115\">Comply with and enhance role related policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li data-gid=\"3116\">Center point for disseminating information regarding security-related information to government employees and the public.&nbsp;</li><li data-gid=\"3117\">Coordinate contingency plans and medical response to emergencies.</li><li data-gid=\"3118\">Ability to work independently and to adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy.</li><li data-gid=\"3119\">Exercise sound operational judgment and flexibility to shifting priorities and challenges.</li></ul><p data-gid=\"3120\">&nbsp;</p><p data-gid=\"3121\"><strong data-gid=\"3122\">&nbsp;</strong></p><p data-gid=\"3123\"><strong data-gid=\"3124\">&nbsp;</strong></p><p data-gid=\"3125\"><strong data-gid=\"3126\">Skills and Experience</strong></p><ul data-gid=\"3127\"><li data-gid=\"3128\">Have a minimum of 5 years law enforcement, correctional, or fire experience. Or 8+ years of military experience.
