The successful candidate must be able to construct, install, and repair structural wood and/or related materials in an accurate and safe manner. Experience in a commercial and/or petroleum construction setting is an asset.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be a&nbsp;<span>self-motivated individual who is organized, able to multi-task well, and has effective time management skills.&nbsp;</span>We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for interviews will be contacted</p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills and Attributes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials (wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, etc.) using hand tools, power tools, and machinery</li>\n <li>Installing frameworks, such as walls, floors, doorframes, and roof systems</li>\n <li>Fitting and installing trim, windows, doors, staircases, molding, and hardware</li>\n <li>Building foundations, laying subflooring, and erecting structures</li>\n <li>Inspecting and repairing damaged frameworks or fixtures</li>\n <li>A Team Attitude - ability to follow directions and take guidance&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong Safety Acumen - being safety conscious is a must, and adherence to all Health &amp; Safety Policies and Procedures is mandatory</li>\n <li>Strong Communication Skills - you will be working closely with the Site Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Hands, and other team members&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints and drawings and accurately interpret complete calculations</li>\n <li>Flexibility - must be able to work out of town as required</li>\n <li>Your own vehicle - must have a reliable means of transportation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Licenses:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Red Seal Journey Person or equivalent is preferred; relevant experience and related tickets will be considered</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Why Petrocom?</strong></p>\n<p>Petrocom is a company that values our clients, our staff, and our community.&nbsp;Our core values are loyalty, collaboration, accountability, diligence, and trust.
