This third-shift role (Monday-Friday, 10:00 PM-6:00 AM) involves reading and programming PLC-based controls, developing vision systems, training new technicians, and leading equipment improvement projects. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide primary maintenance support to production lines; document all work performed using TM&#39;s CMMS.</li><li>Schedule and assign work orders, perform appropriate level of maintenance on machinery and fabrication, and verify results using TM&#39;s CMMS.</li><li>Read and program PLC-based controls.</li><li>Lead and participate in training of all new technicians to rapidly improve skill levels.</li><li>Lead all equipment installations and modifications on production equipment, including but not limited to installing, performing setup for mass production, planning, scheduling, and reporting of status.</li><li>Effectively manage labor costs and productivity.</li><li>Provide prompt, accurate, and professional communication to appropriate personnel as required.</li><li>Drive the development of machine predictive and preventive measures and procedures.</li><li>Lead, participate, and follow through with equipment improvement projects.</li><li>Utilize Microsoft Office to provide detailed reporting of cost savings, efficiency gains, etc., on completed projects.</li><li>Design, build, and develop vision systems.</li><li>Assist in establishing spare parts quantities and ordering frequencies for all new spare parts.</li><li>Assist in incoming spare parts inspection for verification of usability and dimensional accuracy.</li><li>Assist in maintaining and reworking spare parts.</li><li>Lead and assist in performing preventive and predictive maintenance on all production equipment.</li><li>Use various machine shop equipment to fabricate and complete assigned Kaizens and projects.</li><li>Operate man lift per procedures and guidelines.</li><li>Perform all work in accordance with quality, environmental, and regulatory procedures and guidelines.</li><li>Function as a member of the First Responder team per the WVSM Manual.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S standards.</li><li>Promptly report any abnormalities of incoming parts or increases in part usage to management.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management.</li><li>Overtime and shift changes may be necessary as required.</li><li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures which include IATF, ISO, TISAX, ISMS, and Safety related policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>A High school diploma or GED is required.</li><li>Adequate performance in previous role is required.</li><li>Able to complete and pass required criteria for Technician II status.</li><li>Good knowledge of electrical repair.</li><li>Understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.</li><li>PLC literate with the ability to read and program PLC-based controls.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.</li><li>High mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Able to accurately troubleshoot issues on all equipment.</li><li>Able to identify and resolve issues with no supervision.</li><li>Capable of interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.</li><li>Strong problem identification and resolution skills.</li><li>Excellent organization, planning, and administration skills.</li><li>High capability of multitasking.</li><li>Effective communication and time management skills.</li><li>Excellent understanding of computer systems and handheld devices.</li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Capable of identifying training needs and leading or participating in training of others.</li><li>Able to work both indoors and outdoors.</li><li>Capable of coping with stressful situations.</li><li>May need to be certified to drive a forklift and/or man lift.</li><li>Vocational or technical certificate preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Able to see and hear (correctable).</li><li>Able to communicate verbally.</li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.</li><li>Able to lift 75 lbs. with assistance.</li><li>Able to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and repetitive motion.</li><li>Safety toe shoes required.</li></ul><p><strong>Potential Hazards:</strong></p><ul><li>Hazards associated with business operations.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Comprehensive Health Benefits:</strong> Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.</li><li><strong>Financial Security:</strong> Short-term and long-term disability coverage.</li><li><strong>Retirement Savings:</strong> 401(k) plan with a generous company match of up to 6%.</li><li><strong>Time Off:</strong> Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.</li><li><strong>Work-Life Balance:</strong> Paid maternity and paternity leave.</li><li><strong>And much more!</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:</strong></p><p>Niterra is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
