Reporting to the General Counsel, this role serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, partnering cross‑functionally to support complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management for a leading SaaS healthcare technology company.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast‑paced, innovative environment, while helping to scale a mission‑driven organization focused on improving healthcare affordability and outcomes.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Roles and Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of complex technology agreements, including licensing, customer and vendor agreements and strategic partnership</li>\n <li>Advises on contract structure and associated risks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements</li>\n <li>Collaborates with business partners on agreement structure and strategy, execution, and ongoing contractual obligations</li>\n <li>Serves as the legal subject matter expert on federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA</li>\n <li>Provides legal guidance on privacy and data security issues</li>\n <li>Reviews, interprets, and advises on applicable laws and regulations related to our products and services, including for our Medicare Advantage and ACA Exchanges business</li>\n <li>Interacts with vendors and customers on legal and regulatory issues</li>\n <li>Serves as our Compliance Official; supports compliance initiatives, including audits, training, and policy development</li>\n <li>Partners with key compliance stakeholders including product teams and HR to deliver clear regulatory guidance, effective compliance training and awareness campaigns. Creates and delivers training programs for employees</li>\n <li>Assists in the investigation of compliance issues and works to resolve any identified violations or concerns, supporting remediation efforts as needed</li>\n <li>Supports third party risk management programs, including advising and providing guidance on customer, supplier and partner compliance programs</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent negotiation and drafting skills with the ability to communicate complex legal and regulatory concepts clearly and concisely</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to approach complex compliance issues strategically</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and mitigate legal and business risks and provide practical solutions to complex issues to support our compliance programs</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail</li>\n <li>Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders</li>\n <li>Ability to lead a team, including management, development and growth of individuals as well as mentor others</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>10 years of experience as a practicing attorney, including experience working in an in-house legal department</li>\n <li>Experience managing the work of others</li>\n <li>Significant experience negotiating complex commercial transactions, including technology agreements, SaaS and other licensing agreements</li>\n <li>Experience providing counsel on compliance issues</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Training, Certification and Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
