We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>Reporting to an Open Pit Maintenance Supervisor, the Open Pit Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete routine maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring the availability and safe functioning of large mining, support equipment fleets</li>\n <li>Maintain shop areas, tooling and service vehicles to ensure a clean and safe work environment</li>\n <li>Perform daily pre-shift work inspections and participate in individual and group hazard identification processes</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two (2) plus years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment&nbsp;preferred</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Experience handling tires&nbsp;preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Lift at least 50 lbs.&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast paced environment, and support team in&nbsp;attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals with a proven&nbsp;safety record&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level&nbsp;required</li>\n <li>Good written and verbal communication skills&nbsp;required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Can Offer You&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!</li>\n <li>Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.</li>\n <li>Endless opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues.</li>\n <li>Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.</li>\n <li>Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.</li>\n</ul>",
