This role involves performing thorough quality checks during and after the production process in metal fabrication, paint and body, or mechanical assembly. This individual plays a pivotal role in reducing warranty issues and enhancing customer satisfaction.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Job Level</span></span></p>\n<p>Individual Contributor</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Reports To</span></span></p>\n<p>QC Manager</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Duties and Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p>Quality Inspections:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct detailed inspections during and after production to ensure components and assemblies meet established standards.</li>\n<li>Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and areas of concern throughout the production process.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with department teams to address quality issues promptly and effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Process Monitoring:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor production workflows to ensure compliance with established quality control procedures.</li>\n<li>Provide real-time feedback to production teams to ensure continuous improvement.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Documentation and Reporting:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings.</li>\n<li>Prepare detailed quality reports for review by the Quality Manager.</li>\n<li>Contribute to the development and refinement of quality control documentation and protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Warranty Issue Prevention:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify potential quality issues that could result in warranty claims and work with teams to mitigate risks.</li>\n<li>Provide insights and recommendations to improve production quality and reliability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Required Skills and Abilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle defects or inconsistencies.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.</li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, define plans to achieve goals, create timelines and provide status reporting.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Education Background and Experience</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li>Previous experience in quality control within the automotive, manufacturing, or similar industry preferred.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of automotive production processes, including metal fabrication, paint and body, and mechanical assembly.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license with good driving record</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Physical Demands (To include but not limited to) </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prolonged periods of standing or walking around the workspace.</li>\n<li>Frequently lifting heavy objects, such as tools, parts, or equipment, weighing up to 50-75 pounds.</li>\n<li>Regularly bending, stooping, or crouching to work on vehicles at different heights.</li>\n<li>Moving large or heavy equipment, carts, or vehicles within the shop.</li>\n<li>Precise manipulation of tools, small parts, and diagnostic equipment.</li>\n<li>Frequent use of fingers and hands for typing, writing, and operating a computer.</li>\n<li>Using telephones, printers, copiers, and other office tools.</li>\n<li>Frequent need to focus on printed or digital material.</li>\n<li>Reviewing documents, schedules, or customer data with accuracy.</li>\n<li>Exposure to loud noises from power tools and machinery.</li>\n<li>Working in non-climate-controlled environments, leading to exposure to heat or cold.</li>\n<li>Potential exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals like solvents, oils, and paints.
