    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Recovery Support Specialist (Housing) plays a vital role in supporting individuals living in Chestnut’s mental health housing programs as they work toward stability, independence, and self-directed recovery. This position provides hands-on, recovery-oriented services in a residential setting while modeling hope, empowerment, and trauma-informed care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This part-time position will work <strong>Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm</strong> and be based in <strong>Granite City, IL.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role works closely with consumers, housing staff, and community partners to promote wellness, safety, and engagement in services.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Chestnut Health Systems™ is a leading provider of integrated health care services. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Model, practice, and promote a recovery-oriented approach grounded in trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectedness</p></li>\n <li><p>Support consumers in developing personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and confidence through professional, compassionate interactions</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide consumer-driven services identified in treatment, recovery, and safety plans while maintaining at least <strong>65% productivity</strong> of available time</p></li>\n <li><p>Teach and reinforce recovery tools, including Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), and utilize recovery-focused language in all documentation</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist consumers with referrals, linkage, and advocacy to community resources, natural supports, internal programs, and discharge placements that promote independence</p></li>\n <li><p>Promote positive relationships within Chestnut and with community partners, including substance use providers, hospitals, medical staff, and Medicaid partners</p></li>\n <li><p>Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with program and funder requirements, including:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Progress notes and required data entry (80% within 48 hours of service delivery)</p></li>\n   <li><p>Medication Administration Records completed in real time</p></li>\n   <li><p>Thorough and timely shift reports</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p>Participate in meetings, consumer staffings, program development activities, and required supervision and trainings</p></li>\n <li><p>Answer incoming calls, manage messages and mail, and monitor video surveillance equipment when applicable</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, facility staff, and tenants to maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain confidentiality and protect all consumer and organizational information</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of five years of personal lived recovery experience.</li>\n <li>Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with personal lived recovery experience.</li>\n <li>Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) in good standing with the State of Illinois, if applicable.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills, including MS Word and experience with an electronic medical record (EMR).</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and insurability.</li>\n <li>Ability to work at multiple housing sites and cover assignments at other locations in advance or in response to urgent staffing needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Are you intrigued by this job but don’t meet every single requirement?
