Our leading brands include<strong> ITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls</strong> and <strong>kSARIA. </strong></p>\n<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>ITT Enidine is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team in Orchard Park, NY. The Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing and the tactical management of assigned suppliers and/or categories from receipt of planning requirements to payment of invoice. This includes but is not limited to order placement, cost savings initiatives, performance of assigned suppliers, rejections, and supplier suggestions or part moves within assigned supplier categories.</p>\n<h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>· Responsible for strategic sourcing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies of increased complexity and importance.</p>\n<p>· Solicits bids, analyzes quotes, and conducts cost/price analyses.</p>\n<p>· Negotiates price and selects or recommends suppliers.</p>\n<p>· Manages and executes day to day activities as trained. Follows standard work in relation to communicating specifications, quantity, quality, and delivery commitments using approved authority. Seeks deviation from Management when outside of standard work.</p>\n<p>· Monitors past and current supplier performance. Ensures compliance to all regulations, goals, contracts and objectives. Escalates issues or supplier problems.</p>\n<p>· Maintains personal knowledge of the supplier, government regulations, and established purchasing practices and procedures.</p>\n<p>· Identifies and implements ideas for performance improvement, cost savings and supplier/supply strategy within assigned category(s).</p>\n<p>· Will be the supplier representative to all internal customers; Participates in new part projects, technical cross functional teams.</p>\n<p>· Visit suppliers as necessary.</p>\n<p>· Work with P2P on payment issues as needed.</p>\n<p>· Provides system and process training and mentorship to less experienced buyers</p>\n<p>· Performs other tasks as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Position Requirements</h2>\n<p>· Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum 10 years of purchasing experience.</p>\n<p>· Must have demonstrated long-term agreement negotiations with suppliers.</p>\n<p>· Requires project management skills and ability to lead efforts to onboard new suppliers and new parts</p>\n<p>· Must possess a broad knowledge of the market and a technical knowledge of materials and equipment.</p>\n<p>· Possesses strong process and technical familiarity with modern ERP/MRPII or an automated purchasing systems like Oracle.</p>\n<p>· Must have advanced level skills in Excel (pivot tables, macros, managing large volumes of data)</p>\n<p>· Requires strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Multi-lingual capabilities preferred but not required.</p>\n<p>· Ability to travel. If required, most travel will be local. However, some domestic or international overnight travel may be required</p>\n<p>Safety is a core value at ITT.
