    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Position Summary</p><p>The Project Director is a senior-level leader responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale design-build (DB) transit infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems. This role requires deep expertise in project controls, safety compliance, FTA/OSHA regulations, and experience working with MARTA operations. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 20 years of engineering experience with a PE license (GA) or 10 years of BRT project management experience.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Provide executive oversight and leadership for all phases of complex DB transit projects</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Ensure compliance with FTA, OSHA, and MARTA operational standards and requirements</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, safety, construction, and project controls personnel</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Manage stakeholder engagement, including coordination with public agencies, contractors, consultants, and internal MARTA teams</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Oversee implementation of project controls, risk management protocols, and quality assurance plans</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Ensure delivery of project milestones within scope, budget, and timeline</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Champion paperless document management systems for efficient project tracking and reporting</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Monitor construction site operations to ensure safety standards are strictly followed</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Report project performance to senior leadership and recommend adjustments as needed</p><p>Qualifications</p><p>Education &amp; Certifications</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Georgia strongly preferred</p><p>&bull;</p><p>PMP certification is a plus</p><p>&bull;</p><p>OSHA safety certification and/or FTA safety training preferred</p><p>Experience</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in engineering or construction leadership with active PE (GA), OR 10 years of direct BRT project experience</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Extensive experience with design-build project delivery methods</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Deep knowledge of project controls systems and tools</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high-stakes infrastructure environment</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Familiarity with MARTA operations and standards is highly desirable</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Experience implementing and managing digital/paperless document management systems</p><p>Key Competencies</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Strategic planning and execution</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Stakeholder and public agency engagement</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Budgeting, forecasting, and cost control</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Regulatory compliance (FTA, OSHA, state/local transit authorities)</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Leadership, mentorship, and team development</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Clear communication, both verbal and written</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Proficiency in project management and document control software</p><p>Work Conditions &amp; Additional Requirements</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Ability to work in a hybrid office/site environment</p><p>&bull;</p><p>May require travel between project sites and MARTA facilities</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Must pass applicable background checks and safety training</p><p>&bull;</p><p>Availability for occasional evening or weekend work based on project demands</p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
