This includes a portfolio in excess of 30 research and development programs for DoD, NASA, and other U.S. government agencies that can range from small business grants to larger multi-year programs and may include U.S. government acquisition programs of record. The Vice President of Programs will work with the Program Management Team to oversee, organize, and shape research and development programs to ensure that all objectives and milestones are achieved.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;The Vice President of Programs will work closely with company senior leadership and executives to understand and execute the Company&rsquo;s Strategic Plan. This position will develop and execute a plan across programs to ensure timelines, budgets, and profitability are met. The Vice President of Programs ensures that the Program Management Team has adequate tools and staffing resources to achieve their project objectives.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;Important duties also include communicating progress and highlighting risks, timeline delays, and other issues to senior leadership and executives.</p><p>&nbsp;The Vice President of Programs will have 15 or more years of direct experience in program management and program portfolio management in the areas of engineering design, development, and fabrication.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Provides strategic leadership and programmatic management direction across all company programs.</li><li>Provides functional programmatic oversight of Program Management Directors and their assigned portfolios.</li><li>Responsibility for overall program cost, schedule, and technical execution across the company.</li><li>Assists with proposal writing and review to ensure consistency with company practices.</li><li>Responsibility for reporting key performance indicators.</li><li>Clearly communicates concepts and ideas with engineers at varied experience levels.</li><li>Represents the company in an inward and outward facing leadership position by proactively and effectively communicating with coworkers, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.</li><li>Collaborates with contracting, purchasing, and compliance teams.</li><li>Maintains familiarity and awareness of active programs at the company.</li><li>Works with the Contracts Department to review U.S. government contracts of various types (CPFF, FFP, T&amp;M) for terms and conditions that have an impact on programs, including the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and government security restrictions.</li><li>Develops program management processes that advance the Company&rsquo;s program management maturity level.</li><li>Provides mentorship and direction to the Program Management Team.</li><li>Completes other duties and projects as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Education, Experience, and Skills:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in one of the STEM fields from an accredited college or university and 15+ years of program management experience. &nbsp; A master&rsquo;s degree in one of the STEM fields from an accredited college or university may substitute for 5 years of experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Supervisory experience.</li><li>Program or engineering project management experience including managing U.S. Department of Defense projects.</li><li>Experience in managing budgets and schedules with ability to convey information to varied levels of staff.</li><li>Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and capturing follow-on work.</li><li>Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.</li><li>Must be highly organized to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Knowledge of engineering system design, development, and fabrication.</li><li>Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and public speaking in the primary language in the workplace.</li><li>MS Project or similar project planning tool experience.</li><li>Earned Value Management experience.</li><li>Has a sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on the company&rsquo;s success.</li><li>Ability to self-motivate and motivate others.</li><li>Has the ability to exhibit professionalism, tact, and patience when communicating with others.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Other Position Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Regular attendance</li><li>Ability to work outside of normal business hours</li><li>Ability to travel</li><li>US Citizenship or Permanent Residency</li><li>Ability to receive a U.S. Security Clearance&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to pass an employee background check and post-offer drug screen<strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></li></ul><p><strong><u>Desired Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive experience managing U.S. Department of Defense projects, specifically with the Office of Naval Research and/or DARPA&nbsp;</li><li>Project Management Professional (PMP) certification</li><li>Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification in Program Management, Engineering and Technical Management, or Contracting</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
