This role is ideal for a local candidate who understands the pace and expectations of a high-volume heavy-duty shop and enjoys being the key point of contact between drivers, technicians, vendors, and operations.<br>You will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet stays road-ready by coordinating repairs, managing road call activity, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities</b><ul><li>Act as the primary liaison between drivers, fleet operations, technicians, and external vendors</li><li>Open, manage, and close repair orders with accuracy and urgency</li><li>Diagnose and translate driver complaints into actionable work orders</li><li>Provide repair estimates, timelines, and approvals</li><li>Coordinate and manage road calls, ensuring timely response and resolution</li><li>Work closely with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost control</li><li>Build and maintain strong, long-term vendor relationships to support fleet operations</li><li>Prioritize workflow to maximize shop productivity and minimize equipment downtime</li><li>Monitor job progress and communicate updates proactively to all stakeholders</li><li>Ensure all work meets compliance and safety standards</li><li>Support preventive maintenance scheduling and follow-ups</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of labor, parts, and repairs</li><li>Reports Directly to the Maintenance Manager</li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>Minimum 2+ years experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and trailers (diesel, air systems, PM programs)</li><li>Experience handling road calls and vendor coordination is required</li><li>Previous experience in fleet or commercial trucking environment strongly preferred</li><li>Strong understanding of vendor management and service accountability</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li><li>Strong organizational and multitasking abilities</li><li>Proficiency with maintenance software / work order systems</li><li>Familiarity with Alberta CVIP / compliance requirements (asset)</li></ul>#abjobs",
