By joining our team, you’ll contribute to our shared mission of protecting global industrial operations and shaping the future of environmental stewardship. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Application Engineer (AE) supports CECO Environmental’s Industrial Water (IW) platform and market segment expansion in the Americas (Canada through South America, but primarily USA) for the entire product and services portfolio across all relevant company brands. This role is responsible for solution development and proposals of products and services including components, standard systems and custom integrated systems, and field services for industrial water and wastewater treatment requirements. The AE reports to the Director of Engineering of Compass Water Solutions (CWS) and works with Engineering, Drafting, Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Production and Purchasing.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Your Responsibilities Will Be: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Successfully performs technical support to business development, sales and customers & deploys our strategy, understanding customer needs to create proposals to customers.</li>\n <li>Works collaboratively to deliver monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals, bookings and margins.</li>\n <li>Interpret technical specifications and bid documents and prepare proposals and technical, commercial and legal responses to customer comments and questions to maximize the probability of opportunity capture.</li>\n <li>Create and Develop RO (Reverse Osmosis), instrumentation and control designs according to specified CWS projects and custom systems using RO forecasting software.</li>\n <li>Develop cost-effective solutions to advantage company in the market by working with the Supply Chain.</li>\n <li>Prepare water mass balance and system performance projections.</li>\n <li>Works with Drafting to prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangements (GAs), Equipment</li>\n <li>Layouts and other drawings to support the proposal process and post-award Engineering Submittals.</li>\n <li> Works internally with Purchasing and Production and externally with Supply Chain to prepare detailed cost estimates and project cost-price models to determine project pricing.</li>\n <li>Develop technical, commercial and legal proposals including process description, work scope, equipment list, and performance guarantees that meet customer deadline requirements.</li>\n <li>Provide support to the Project Management, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Drafting team post-award starting with project transfer to Engineering Submittals preparation, system production, and through field installation, startup, commissioning, and operations including performance testing and warranty claims</li>\n <li> Builds and maintains strong and positive industry relationships primarily with End Users, Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPCs) and Engineering Consultants (ECs) customers.</li>\n <li>Manages data and communicates activities and results to collaborate with the global sales team effectively.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Process Engineering or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>4+ years of experience in application engineering and proposals for custom integrated industrial water & wastewater treatment systems including Aeration, Clarification, Disinfection, Filtration (Media and Membrane including Nanofiltration (NF), Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Ultrafiltration (UF)), Water Softening, Ion Exchange for Raw Water, Boiler Water, Cooling Water, Oily Water, Process Water, Produced Water, Ultrapure Water (UPW) and Wastewater treatment systems.</li>\n <li>Experienced in taking influent water analysis and effluent water quality requirements and modeling solutions to meet End Customer’s Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operating Expenditure (OpEx) goals </li>\n <li>Knowledge of technical, commercial, and legal principals related to proposals, costing, pricing, contact negotiations for business risk mitigation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Incumbents are expected to travel up to 25% of the time; preferred to have the ability to travel internationally.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>ADA Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>Work Environment: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some work with physical computer and/or networking systems may be required to fulfill operational requirements.</p>\n<p>• Concentrated mental and/or visual attention.
