Description

The Laboratory Analyst I conducts accurate and timely analyses of samples of soil, air, or water, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and driving the company’s mission to promote environmental health and sustainability. Laboratory Testing Perform routine and complex analysis of environmental samples, adhering to strict Quality Assurance procedures, methodologies, and safety protocols to ensure precise and reproducible results. Record, interpret, and report test results in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements. Assist in the development and validation of new analytical methods. Adhere to all safety guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Equipment Maintenance Operate laboratory instrumentation such as autosamplers, detectors, titrators and other analytical equipment. Perform routine instrument and equipment maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting, calibration, and basic repair. Data Integrity & Quality Control Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records, including sample logs, chain of custody, and quality control documentation. Monitor laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure adherence to accreditation standards (e.g. ISO 17025, NELAC). Record and manage data in Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) and conduct reviews for accuracy. Professional Communication Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and client satisfaction. Proactively report status updates and potential delays to relevant teams or members of leadership. Perform all other duties as assigned.
