In this role, you’ll provide real-time support for emergency incidents, monitor security systems, and dispatch responses to ensure the site’s safety and security. This position offers hands-on experience in high-stakes security dispatching, ideal for those looking to build or enhance careers in emergency response and security operations.  \n<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong>  \n<ul>\n <li>Receiving emergency calls and obtaining information regarding the emergencies</li>\n <li>Dispatching the appropriate emergency service to the location of the incident</li>\n <li>Transmit necessary information to field personnel via radio or telephone communication systems</li>\n <li>Perform interface functions between Shell and the external agencies during a site-wide emergency.</li>\n <li>Monitor all CCTV cameras and access control alarms</li>\n <li>Answer routine telephone and radio calls</li>\n <li>Prioritize calls for service and manpower allocation</li>\n <li>Immediately enact the public complaint process upon receipt of a public complaints or concern (i.e. noise complaints)</li>\n <li>Oversees basic operation of security alarm systems</li>\n <li>Perform after hour callouts for personnel</li>\n <li>Serve as the Emergency contact for Pipelines and Sherwood Marketing Terminal</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Requirements :</strong> \n<ul>\n <li><strong>Due to the safety requirements - must clear drug testing.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Clean criminal Record</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must comply with the site's clean-shave policy due to Health and Safety compliance</strong></li>\n <li>Have knowledge of the standard radio and telephone communications receiving and transmitting equipment.</li>\n <li>Possess strong computer skills.</li>\n <li><strong>Must have Alberta Security License</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must have Albert Driver's License</strong></li>\n <li>Must be able to work with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>Have the ability to interpret and give both verbal and written instructions.</li>\n <li>Possess both excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Have the ability to make sound decisions using all available information.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate the ability to appropriately respond to changing circumstances.</li>\n <li>Have excellent prioritization skills and be multi-task orientated.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including communicating effectively.</li>\n <li>Analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions in emergency and routine situations.</li>\n <li>Work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work under pressure.</li>\n <li>Ensure the confidentiality of all records containing personal information.</li>\n <li>Possess good hearing and vision (including color vision) appropriate for call-taking/dispatching functions.</li>\n <li>Work 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights weekends and statutory/religious holidays.</li>\n <li>Display the ability to work with and interpret facility maps.</li>\n <li>Possess strong HSSE leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate an excellent attendance record</li>\n <li>Work in a private office with little to no face-to-face interaction</li>\n <li>Must have high school diploma</li>\n <li>Previous Security related experience is an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>The successful applicants must complete the Dispatcher Training Program which includes but is not limited to:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Site orientation and Facility familiarization</li>\n <li>Emergency Procedures</li>\n <li>Incident training (Drills/Exercises)</li>\n <li>Radio communications</li>\n <li>Telephone features</li>\n <li>Report writing</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>The individual will have the ability to utilize the following systems:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Access Control System</li>\n <li>Site Paging Systems</li>\n <li>Site telecommunication systems</li>\n <li>Site radio systems</li>\n <li>Headcount Assembly System</li>\n</ul>  \n<strong>Benefits :</strong> \n<ul>\n <li>Opportunities for career growth and advancement.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health and dental benefits.</li>\n <li>Paid training and development programs.</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Disclaimers :</strong>  As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates being considered for employment with Allied Universal are required to undergo and pass background check.
