Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.</p>\n  <p><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></p>\n  <p><strong>Michael Baker International</strong>&nbsp;is seeking an entry-level <strong>Water/Wastewater/Drainage&nbsp;Civil Associate</strong>&nbsp;to join our team in <strong>Phoenix, AZ</strong>.&nbsp; You’ll be a part of our team of talented engineers working on a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway drainage, and municipal infrastructure projects that include planning, design, engineering, and construction support, with a focus on pipelines, pump stations, metering/flow control facilities, storage tanks, utility system expansions and utility relocations, stormwater systems, bridge/culvert hydraulics, floodplain management, dam safety, etc.</p>\n  <div>\n   <strong>What You'll Do:</strong>\n  </div>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for water distribution/transmission, wastewater collection and conveyance.</li>\n   <li>Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of water, sewer, stormwater, and riverine systems.</li>\n   <li>Identify erosion and sediment control measures and stormwater management strategies to comply with state law.</li>\n   <li>Assist with preparation of technical memoranda, studies, engineering reports, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, etc.</li>\n   <li>Assist with technical writing and report on key projects.</li>\n   <li>Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (cost estimators, GIS, designers, and other engineers).</li>\n   <li>Work with senior Project Engineers and Project Managers who will guide you in the development of project documents.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <div>\n   <div>\n    <strong>What You Need to Succeed:</strong>\n   </div>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.</li>\n    <li>0-5 years professional experience in the study, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater infrastructure.</li>\n    <li>EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.</li>\n    <li>Knowledgeable in CAD (Autodesk, Bentley) and knowledge of GIS (ESRI).</li>\n    <li>Proficiency in water related tools such as HEC-HMS, RAS-2D, FLO-2D, SWMM, WaterGEM, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster is considered a plus.&nbsp;</li>\n    <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are required.</li>\n   </ul>\n   <div>\n    <strong>Compensation:</strong>\n   </div>\n   <div>\n    The approximate compensation range for this position is&nbsp;$62,267 - $89,898 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
