    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Work Schedule:</u></strong><br>This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. Multiple shifts available. Day (7AM - 3PM), Evening (3PM - 11PM), or Night (11PM - 7AM).&nbsp;Rotating days off, rotating weekend and rotating holidays are required. Schedules are completed 6 months at a time. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.</p><p><strong><u>Pay:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Overtime</li><li>Weekend, evening &amp; night shift differential&nbsp;<ul><li>For evening hours - after 3:00 pm you will earn an additional $3.00/hr.</li><li>For night hours - after 11:00 pm you will earn an additional $4.00/hr.</li><li>On Saturday and Sunday, you will earn an additional $3.25/hr.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Be part of something remarkable</strong></p><p>Play a critical role in keeping patients, visitors and staff safe at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin.</p><p>We are seeking a <strong>Security Officer</strong> early in their career or with experience to:</p><ul><li>Patrol hospital grounds and assist visitors with directions and act as the first responder to emergencies and disturbances.</li><li>Interact with law enforcement, patients, visitors and staff about security or safety issues.</li><li>Properly document daily activities and write detailed and at times lengthy incident reports using computer software programs.</li><li>Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.</li></ul><p><strong><u>At UW Health, you will have:</u></strong></p><ul><li>An excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off and retirement plans.</li><li>Access to UW Health’s Wellness Options at Work that support employee/family well-being.</li><li>Tuition reimbursement - UW Health invests in your professional growth by helping pay for coursework associated with career advancement.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent Required</li><li>Associate's Degree or progress towards a degree in criminal justice field or a Bachelor’s Degree in any other field of study. Preferred</li></ul><p><strong><u>Work Experience</u></strong></p><ul><li>1 year relevant experience or appropriate preferred education requirements. Required</li><li>Experience in healthcare security, corporate security, or law enforcement. Preferred</li></ul><p><strong><u>Licenses &amp; Certifications</u></strong></p><ul><li>Valid driver’s license in the person’s state of residence. Must be 21 years of age or have three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Patient/Visitor Vehicle or UW Health Vehicle other than a golf cart or utility terrain vehicle.
