    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job purpose</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>An Apprentice Carpenter assists the Carpenters on the job site. &nbsp;They must be comfortable working with tools on site, understand and carry out assignments based on directions they are given.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Duties and responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Follow all Colt and site-specific safety procedure at all times!</li><li>Follow and execute directions given by Carpenters, Foreman and Site Superintendent</li><li>Accomplish assigned tasks properly and in a timely manner.</li><li>Be able to cut, spread and frame a typical wall.</li><li>Cut to given measurements - straight and square.</li><li>Square and sheath walls</li><li>Lay joist on layout marks</li><li>Stand and secure walls.</li><li>Sheath roofs and decks</li><li>Assist in training of entry level workers.</li><li>Understand and work within Colt&rsquo;s tool program.</li><li>Produce work at or under budget.</li><li>Educate entry level workers on safety protocols and direct proper form when protocols are not followed.</li><li>Actively work to increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>*Ability to perform duties/activities of workers supervised*</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Basic safety knowledge and performance</li><li>Appropriate knowledge of carpentry tools and skills</li><li>Demonstrate initiative on site.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.</li><li>Possess aptitude for learning and application of newly acquired skills.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Working conditions</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours/week - often weekend work may be required, essentially whatever it takes to get the job done. &nbsp;Environmental factors depend on job location but may include extremely cold, extremely hot and humid conditions in an effort to meet client expectations. &nbsp;Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and sometimes at extreme heights.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Function requirements</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Apprentice Carpenters should expect to do a considerable amount of lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling and balancing. &nbsp; Certain amounts of strength, dexterity and alternates is required. &nbsp;Must follow all safety requirements of the job.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><hr><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>About Colt Builders Corp.</strong></p><p>Founded in 2004, Colt Builders is a turnkey multi-family commercial wood-framing partner with national reach and local management.
