    "description": "<p>Job Summary</p>\r\n\r\n<p>This Corporate Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role will support the company&rsquo;s growing renewable energy portfolio by managing accounting for complex transactions, including project financing, revenue recognition, tax equity and asset accounting related to solar energy systems.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with IFRS</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Prepare IFRS journal entries and maintain IFRS secondary ledger in NetSuite</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Support revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS (including long-term contracts and energy sales agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements)</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Support quarterly FMV in accordance with IFRS (including derivatives, tax equity, etc.)</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Support annual PPE revaluation in accordance with IFRS</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Collaborate with FP&amp;A, Structured Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Analyze and document accounting treatment for complex transactions, including leases, joint ventures, and project financing arrangements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Prepare technical accounting memos and support audits (internal and external)</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Monitor changes in IFRS standards and assess impacts on the company</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Assist with internal controls and compliance initiatives</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; CPA or equivalent certification preferred</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; 3-6+ years of accounting experience, preferably with IFRS exposure</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project-based accounting strongly preferred</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Strong knowledge of IFRS standards is required</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite software is desired but not required</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Advanced Excel skills</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Preferred Skills &amp; Experience</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Experience with solar or energy industry accounting (asset capitalization, depreciation, tax equity structures)</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA&rsquo;s), ITC and lease accounting</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Experience working in a fast growing or private equity-backed environment</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Key Competencies</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Attention to detail and accuracy</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Problem solving and technical accounting expertise</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Ability to work cross functionally</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Strong written and verbal communication skills</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&middot; Adaptability in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment</p>\r\n",
