    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>Shermco US is hiring an E&C Estimator. This position is remote with 25% or less travel to job sites.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour job sites to confirm requisite take-offs.</li>\n <li>Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine estimates for industrial electricalprojects.</li>\n <li>New construction and retrofit upgrades</li>\n <li>Prepare project takeoffs, submittals, and proposals.</li>\n <li>Request quotes from vendors for equipment and materials.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.</li>\n <li>Draft scope inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.</li>\n <li>Identify and meet customers’ needs, expectations, and requirements.</li>\n <li>Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, andothers.</li>\n <li>Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including information onpricing from suppliers obtained through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, softwareuploads, etc.</li>\n <li>Support other department personnel as required; may include assisting with estimates inother disciplines.</li>\n <li>Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in the industrial electrical industry.</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction estimating.</li>\n <li>Journeyman Electrician license preferred</li>\n <li>In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards.</li>\n <li>Familiar with NECA rates, structures and their shortcomings</li>\n <li>Familiar with NEC/NFPA-70E</li>\n <li>Understands the material quoting process, RFQ’s, how to deal with vendors, etc.</li>\n <li>Understands how to address/escalate specification conflicts, drawing inaccuracies or other questions stemming from the drawing package</li>\n <li>Familiar with estimating/installing all types of electrical raceway, including cable tray, EMT, rigid, IMC & plastibond, and all associated fittings and appurtenances.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret electrical & automation construction drawings, wiring details, installation detail, P&ID’s, layout drawings, panel drawings, BOM’s, etc.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret complex construction specifications as they apply to electrical, automation and control-related mechanical means and methods</li>\n <li>Background in automation and controls, including PLC’s, instrumentation, valves, mechanical control panels, electrical control panels is a plus.</li>\n <li>Semiconductor/Cleanroom experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>Software experience in the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc…)</li>\n   <li>Microsoft Teams</li>\n   <li>Autocad/Autocad LT</li>\n   <li>Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Advanced/Expert level experience in Accubid, including setup of databases, projects, custom assemblies, labor rates, difficulty modifiers, LiveCount, etc.</li>\n <li>Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.</li>\n <li>Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Must possess the ability to communicate with customers, contractors, owners and specialty equipment suppliers to determine scopes of work and required materials/equipment.</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and change priorities as necessary.</li>\n <li>Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player in a remote position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE</strong></p>\n<p>Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
