We value Quality, Professionalism, Person-Centered, Recovery, Teamwork, Improvement, Accountability, Management of Practicing Information, Wellness, and Financial Stability.</em></p><span data-teams=\"true\" data-pasted=\"true\"><p><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"><strong>LOCATION: &nbsp;Dublin, GA</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia&rsquo;s is seeking a qualified individual to serve as our next <strong>Behavioral Health Specialist&nbsp;</strong>at our new Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) in Dublin, GA. This State-of-the-art new facility features 40 total patient beds, including 24 crisis stabilization beds and 16 temporary observation beds, offering both voluntary and involuntary patients access to safe, secure, and compassionate care. This facility will provide critical support and stabilization services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in a safe, structured environment where individuals can begin their journey towards healing and recovery.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\"><strong><u>Responsibilities of the Counselor:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li><strong>Under direct supervision and ongoing administrative oversight, provides counseling to clients and families as appropriate to the position using evidenced-based interventions as needed and appropriate per diagnosis and session content&nbsp;</strong></li><li><strong>Prepares treatment plans, biopsychosocial, discharge plans, required screenings and assessments, per governing and regulatory bodies, and follow-up care programs&nbsp;</strong></li><li><strong>Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required</strong></li><li><strong>Collects data about patients through interview, case history, and/or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists</strong></li><li><strong>Provides casework management of a specialized caseload, as appropriate to the individual position&#39;s requirements; performs research and case assessments; prepares individualized studies for admission, placement, and/or discharge, as applicable</strong></li><li><strong>Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for patients or clients in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problems</strong></li><li><strong>Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery</strong></li><li><strong>Consults with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to patient/client records, rights, and responsibilities</strong></li><li><strong>Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework;
