In-person service at more than 50 sites throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties is inspired by the Gospel call affirming the sacredness of every human life.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>CCLI is looking for <em>a<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> full time Counselor </span></em>with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team, you will share in the joy of providing “care with dignity and life with hope.”</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Responsibilities:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide comprehensive supportive services to referred individuals by assessing their needs and situations, offering emotional and practical support, and coordinating services through collaboration with internal programs and external resources including facilitating connection to faith-based resources.</li>\n<li>Incorporate Catholic Social teaching and values (such as compassion, integrity and service) into daily work and decision-making processes as appropriate</li>\n<li>Partner with Parish Ministers providing spiritual support while respecting clients personal beliefs.</li>\n<li>Complete functional assessments, psychosocial reports and progress notes.</li>\n<li>Facilitate communication and coordination between participants, families and service providers.</li>\n<li>Meet the participant at their living space or in the community. Assist with scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and service visits as well as obtaining and maintaining benefits (Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP…)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Consult/meet with various professionals, agencies, organizations regarding participant’s needs.</li>\n<li>Track and update participant documentation.</li>\n<li>Attend various staff meetings, education meetings/seminars to receive or provide information to other staff members and participant</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Qualifications:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree – Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy; LMSW, LMHC or LMFT preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1-year prior experience in related program and/or field work in graduate school preferred. Experience working with participants in various and sometimes intense situations.</li>\n<li>Possess a basic knowledge of the Catholic Church’s doctrines and traditions (e.g. Catholic Social Teaching, Scripture, the Catechism)</li>\n<li>Demonstrate a commitment to the values, beliefs, traditions, and moral teachings of Catholic Social Justice, such as compassion, integrity and service</li>\n<li>Bilingual capability (Spanish/English) preferred. Computer literacy required.</li>\n<li>Must be able to drive throughout Long Island to meeting sites using personal vehicle.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>         Some participant meetings may occur during evenings or weekends.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Schedule:  </em></span><em> </em>Full time – 35 hours per week.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Rate of Pay: </em></span>$65,000 annual gross non-bilingual; $65,000 - $75,000 annual gross bilingual.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This position is grant funded from 1/1/2026 through 12/31/26.</span></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location.
