    "description": "<h2>Department Overview</h2>\n<p>The OHSU Electrician provides skilled, journey-level technical support for electrical infrastructure and systems in designated OHSU buildings. This role performs systems preventative maintenance and repairs, corrective maintenance, minor modifications, project and electrical infrastructure support and power event response.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Electricians participate in an On Call program in support of and response to emergency power events. This position reports to the Electrical Services Supervisor and Utilities Manager.</p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure systems.</li>\n <li>Conduct periodic testing of emergency power supply systems, and other emergency backup systems and document results of all testing.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate documentation and records of work performed as per required by internal policies and regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and necessary modifications of the electrical infrastructure systems and related components such as lighting systems, breakers, UPS & VFDs, motors and other electrical devices and supporting equipment.</li>\n <li>Maintain interior and exterior lighting & controls.</li>\n <li>Respond to electrical emergencies, PGE support.</li>\n <li>Maintain tools and supplies and the areas where they are stored.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Possession of one of the following Oregon (or state with reciprocal agreement) Electrician's Licenses appropriate to the work to be performed:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>General Supervising Electrician License </li>\n <li>General Journeyman Electrician License </li>\n <li>Limited Journey Manufacturing Plant License</li>\n <li>Limited Supervising Manufacturing Plant License</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Details</h2>\n<p>This position participates in a 24/7 On Call rotation program, scheduled in advance as well as some unplanned on-call requirements as needed due to inclement weather or other potential power impact situations. This role requires some early morning and weekend shift work.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Working conditions for this position may include any of the following: Working outside in inclement weather, environments containing dust, odor, high levels of noise, high temperatures, and/or chemical hazards. Employee may be required to work in small, cramped spaces, work from ladders, scaffolds, or other above ground locations, working around moving machinery and in confined spaces.
