NIA programs provide an environment where students learn to think critically and communicate confidently; a place where students develop the tools necessary to realize their individual talents and embrace the larger world through meaningful opportunities for experiential education, service learning, and community building.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>Visit us at www.niabklyn.org</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Group Leader Job Description:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Group Leaders</strong>&nbsp;for after-school programs are responsible for actively assisting in instruction for summer rising activities.&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Assist with classroom instruction in a variety of subject areas</li>\r\n\t<li>Take student attendance and responsibly supervise snack-time and dismissal for your assigned group of students</li>\r\n\t<li>Lead students safely throughout the building when transitioning between activities</li>\r\n\t<li>Collaborate positively and professionally with co-workers</li>\r\n\t<li>Actively assist with positive behavior management in a professional manner</li>\r\n\t<li>Be flexible, demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to help others</li>\r\n\t<li>Communicate clearly and positively with students, co-workers, and supervisors</li>\r\n\t<li>MUST be available, on-time, and prepared to work Monday-Friday for your scheduled shift. PM Shift: 1PM-6PM. <em>(Exact hours vary depending upon location).</em></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
