That’s why Sil Industrial Minerals is Western Canada’s leader in industrial sands, blasting abrasives and equipment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position overview: </strong></p>\n<p>We are currently recruiting for an Industrial PLC Programmer to help develop and further integrate our automation processes. This is a challenging opportunity that will have you integrating automation processes throughout various business units. This opportunity is perfect for those that eager to learn and grow in a fast paced and dynamic role.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>PLC Programmer Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in the development of automation projects;</li>\n <li>Programing using Inductive Automation (Ignition SCADA);</li>\n <li>Monitor and control industrial processes;</li>\n <li>Be responsible for solving technical problems (troubleshooting);</li>\n <li>Help in developing and improving automation processes throughout the various business lines</li>\n <li>Working with PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s</li>\n <li>Work on integrating the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including helping train and provide assistance to field staff</li>\n <li>Provide support for operations;</li>\n <li>Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization and propose solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>PLC Programmer Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>You hold a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Technology or equivalent;</li>\n <li>You have 1 years of experience in automation;</li>\n <li>You see various areas of improvement via automation throughout a business;</li>\n <li>You have a hands-on instrumentation and electrical know-how;</li>\n <li>You are a proactive person that understands changing procedures takes a tenacious personality.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Inductive Automation Platform</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s license;</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret operating/maintenance manuals and electrical schematics</li>\n <li>You have the ability to solve complex problems;</li>\n <li>Consult manufacturer’s manuals to determine installation, test, and maintenance procedures;</li>\n <li>You have the ability to work in groups with various stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Understanding of the construction and/or sand processing industry is considered as asset.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Sil Industrial Minerals</strong> is an equal opportunity employer.
