Based out of Locust Ridge Quarry and Asphalt, our CDL drivers satisfy a critical role here at <strong>H&K</strong>. Prepares receipts for load picked up</li>\n <li>Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations and company policy</li>\n <li>Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions</li>\n <li>Loads and unloads truck</li>\n <li>Performs daily pre and post trip of vehicle</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Class A CDL</li>\n <li>Hazmat </li>\n <li>One year of commercial driving experience</li>\n <li>Verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule</li>\n <li>Problem solving</li>\n <li>Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution </li>\n <li>3+ years of commercial driving experience</li>\n <li>Tanker Endorsement for liquid asphalt</li>\n <li>TWIC card</li>\n <li>Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong preference for asphalt plant and/or heavy road construction experience</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>OSHA or other relevant safety certification</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequently required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Stand, walk, or sit</li>\n   <li>Use hands to finger, handle, or feel</li>\n   <li>Reach with hands and arms</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Occasionally required to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Talk or hear</li>\n   <li>Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>\n   <li>Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to \n  <ul>\n   <li>Outside weather conditions</li>\n   <li>High, precarious places</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles</li>\n <li>Noise level is usually moderate</li>\n <li>Rarely requires weekend work</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>H&K Group, Inc.’s (H&K’s) Pocono Lake Division</strong>(formerly Locust Ridge Contractors) has been a proud member of our heavy civil construction team since 1984.
