(mileage reimbursed!)</li><li>Fun teamwork opportunities with supportive colleagues.</li><li>Ability to work in schools and at community sites with a diverse population of youth and adults.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;The Prevention Specialist works within the Prevention Services Department of the Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County.&nbsp; The goal of the Prevention Services Department is to equip and empower youth and communities with the knowledge and skills to attain overall social, emotional, and mental well-being.&nbsp; The Prevention Specialist will help us work towards this goal by implementing evidence-based curriculum to youth between the ages of 5-18, as well as designing and facilitating community presentations on a variety of topics, including (but not limited to): drug education/prevention, bullying education/prevention, managing emotions, coping skills, mindfulness, social skills, etc.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><p><strong>Participation:</strong></p><ul><li>Accountable for recruiting and enrolling eligible youth into the program</li><li>Accountable for meeting participation goals and objectives</li></ul><p><strong>Prevention Curriculum:</strong></p><ul><li>Accountable for acting as liaison between target schools, organization staff, and program staff</li><li>Accountable for providing services and activities to meet the needs of enrolled members</li><li>Accountable for the fidelity of the curriculum</li></ul><p><strong>Prevention Activities:</strong></p><ul><li>Accountable for conducting prevention activities</li><li>Accountable for quality programming and activities</li></ul><p><strong>Administrative Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Accountable for accurate and timely documentation and reporting</li></ul><p><strong>Facility and Child Safety:</strong></p><ul><li>Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned work location(s)</li><li>Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities. Abide by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance</li><li>Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation within the required timeline</li><li>Maintain discipline, de-escalate conflict between members and/or others</li><li>Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by deadline</li></ul><p><strong>Administrative Compliance:</strong></p><ul><li>Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time.</li><li>Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting. Ensure accuracy of data and reporting. Ensure the effective completion of all assessment and measurement activities of programs</li><li>Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes and controls</li><li>Accountable for accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data entry</li><li>Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly and effectively</li></ul><p><strong>Relationships:</strong></p><ul><li>Be a positive role model</li><li>Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure</li><li>Represent the Boys &amp; Girls Club in a positive manner</li></ul><p><strong>Attendance:</strong></p><ul><li>Regular attendance is required; arrive on time, work required hours/shift, and leave at scheduled time</li></ul>",
