          "text": "<p>As a Counter Salesperson/Shipper Receiver, you will provide sales support to walk-in customers who come to our Profit Centre counter. You will provide the highest level of customer service by maintaining, stocking, and keeping a clean counter sales area. In addition, you will provide support to customers by answering questions, picking, and entering orders. &#xa0;You will be responsible for packing, and shipping customer orders as well as counting, verifying, receiving, and putting away incoming vendor material and customer returns. A high attention to detail will ensure exceptional levels of customer service and satisfaction.</p><p><strong>Additional duties:</strong></p><p>Counter duties include:</p><ul><li>Assist customers who purchase material at the Profit Centre counter</li><li>Research product for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment of product</li><li>Drive sales growth through ownership of counter merchandising, and product promotion, while networking with customers at the counter</li><li>Enter, pick, and pack sales orders generated at the counter</li><li>Maintain and clean the counter area including any merchandising displays</li><li>Inform the buyer when stocks levels are low and of any inventory discrepancies and damaged/defective material that would impact customer service levels</li><li>Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debris</li></ul><p>Receiving duties include:</p><ul><li>Upon unloading vendor shipments or customer returns, obtain the packing slip and verify material received. Note any discrepancies or damaged material</li><li>Identify special order material and damaged material and store in proper location</li><li>Note all shipping discrepancies on freight carrier’s Bill of Lading, initiate freight claims and forward paperwork to appropriate teammate</li></ul><p>Shipping duties include:</p><ul><li>Drive the EMCO truck in a safe manner and in compliance with company policy, applicable traffic laws and provincial Ministry of Transportation legislation. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other EMCO locations, other wholesaler facilities and any other location as directed by management</li><li>Pick customer orders and load the truck at the Profit Centre with material to be delivered curb side to customers or vendors while ensuring the necessary equipment to safely load the truck is available</li><li>Secure loads properly following all legislation, ensuring nothing will shift, get damaged or fall from the truck</li><li>Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager</li></ul>",
