If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.</p><p>Ansible is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) providing Federal customers with solutions in many arenas. Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of national security, health care, and information technology. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Take vital signs, room patients, and assist with clinical tasks (e.g., wound checks, biopsies, vision/pressure checks).</li><li>Perform minor procedures such as:<ul><li>Biopsies</li><li>Toenail clippings</li><li>Catheter changes</li><li>Post-residual void scans</li></ul></li><li>Set up sterile field and ensure sterility during procedures.</li><li>Prepare, organize, and maintain all procedure setups.</li><li>Ensure all needed supplies and instruments are available prior to procedures.</li><li>Assist providers with positioning, prepping, and obtaining supplies for patients.</li><li>Follow universal precautions and infection control protocols.</li><li>Label and handle all specimens properly, place orders, and deliver directly to the lab.</li><li>Pre-clean RME (Reusable Medical Equipment) in accordance with VISN SPS policy.</li><li>Enter surgery orders.</li><li>Communicate with patients regarding scheduling and surgery times.</li><li>Assist in completing anesthesia questionnaires and routing them to pre-anesthesia.</li><li>Provide patients with pre-op testing instructions and timelines.</li><li>Ensure all required testing results are received before surgery; escalate abnormal results.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><div><ul><li>Experience consistent with Surgical Technician responsibilities.</li><li>Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification preferred but not required</li><li>Minimum <strong>one year of direct patient care experience</strong> within the last 3 years.</li><li>Active AHA BLS certification </li></ul></div><p><strong>All candidates must be able to:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift</li>\n\t<li>Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist</li>\n\t<li>Lift up to 20 lbs</li>\n\t<li>Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance</li>\n\t<li>Push/pull with 30 lbs of force</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><strong>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. </strong></p>",
