RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.</p><p>We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.</p><p>We are currently seeking qualified individuals for the position of <strong>Class A CDL Truck Driver</strong> for our trucking operation in Central Arkansas, based out of <strong>Conway, Arkansas.</strong></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Strict adherence to all company, client, and project policies, procedures and standards, including but not limited to the safety manual and the Fleet Safety manual.</li><li>Answers directly to the Trucking Superintendent.</li><li>Drive truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, or bituminous paving materials.</li><li>Maintain the physical upkeep of the truck by ensuring all functional parts, such as tires, headlights, stop lights, signal lights are in good working order, keeping the vehicle cleared of any and all obstacles and performing the required cleaning after each load.&nbsp;</li><li>If defect is found on vehicle, do not drive the vehicle and notify management on Driver Daily Report.</li><li>Complete and submit Driver Daily Reports as well as logs that comply with Rogers Group, State and Federal Regulations.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor company radio for dispatch and a change in assignment.</li><li>Monitor dash gauge and conditions all around the vehicle by means of rearview and spot mirrors.</li><li>Operating controls for tarping loads, strapping loads, raising/lowering the dump bed, raising/lowering third axle.&nbsp;</li><li>Operate vehicles in a safe and professional manner in every situation and exhibit defensive driving skills, while always obeying State and Federal trucking laws.</li><li>Obey weight limit when loading truck and tarp all loads, regardless of the material.</li><li>Hooks and adjusts tailgate spreader chains for tailgating material.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have and maintain a Class A CDL license</li><li>Must have and maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years truck driving experience required.</li><li>Experience with trucks equipped with quad axle trucks is preferred</li><li>In accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.</li><li>Ability to perform simple math with double digit numbers.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or electronic form.</li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have a positive attitude and work well with others to include but not limited to co-workers, managers, and the public.</li><li>Must act professional and maintain composure in any and all situations as a reflection on Rogers Group.&nbsp;</li><li>This position requires an extreme amount of body movement to include but not limited to leg movement to control clutch, brakes, and accelerator; wrist and arm movement to change gears, steering and other controls; neck movement to monitor the area surrounding the truck.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to meet the physical demands of the jobs such as sitting for long periods of time, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, walking, and lifting objects up to 25lbs (regularly), up to 50lbs (frequently) and up to 100lbs (occasionally).</li><li>Specific vision requirements will include, but not limited to, close, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and the ability to recognize colors of traffic signals and devices.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to work in certain conditions, such as around moving mechanical parts and being exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme outside weather conditions, and vibrations.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to occasionally work long hours outside of the normal 10-12 hours a day, as conditions may dictate up to 15 hours a day.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.</strong></p><p>As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including:</p><ul><li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance&nbsp;plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution.</li><li>Company&nbsp;provided Group Life and Accidental Death &amp;
