    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The <strong>Inspection Trainee</strong> in <strong>Paradise, Newfoundland</strong> will assist Operators in the inspection and repair of used tubular goods and is responsible for pipe handling, cleaning and inspection and repair of used tubular goods, including drill pipe.</p>\n<p><i><strong>This position is classified as safety sensitive, and employment would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment testing.</strong></i></p>\n<p><i><strong>The hourly rate for this position is $18 - $19 based on experience and qualification</strong></i></p>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assisting Operators in the utilization of Wellhead Isolog, Wellchek, and Classifax Sonoscope Isolog units.</li>\n <li>Thread inspection</li>\n <li>Magnetic Particle Inspection</li>\n <li>Cleaning and repair of pipe threads</li>\n <li>Drifting and sorting of tubulars</li>\n <li>Removal and application of thread compounds</li>\n <li>Coupling removal and replacement</li>\n <li>Equipment set up and tear down</li>\n <li>Unit calibration</li>\n <li>Basic unit maintenance</li>\n <li>General housekeeping and shop cleanup</li>\n <li>Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements</li>\n <li>Participate in training programs as required by the company</li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualification Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school education with the ability to read, write and speak a minimum amount of English to perform job duties</li>\n <li>Class 5 Driver’s License in good standing</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service</li>\n <li>Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Standard First Aid and H2S Alive training preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>HSE Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work is performed in a shop and yard environment.&nbsp; Possibility to be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and changes of temperature/humidity.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Physical requirements: squatting, bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 23 kilograms, walking on rough ground, and working near moving equipment.</li>\n <li>Required to at all times wear proper protective clothing and equipment and perform duties in a safe manner</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred method of application and to view all opportunities visit:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.nov.com/Careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">https://www.nov.com/Careers</a></p>\n<p><strong>NOV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination or Harassment of Any Kind:</strong>&nbsp;NOV is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunities for everyone and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
