    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Odyssey Systems is seeking a <strong>Senior Computer Scientist / Engineer</strong> to support advanced situational awareness and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) initiatives. This position will focus on the design and development of a common software architecture that integrates diverse applications, sensors, and data sources into a unified operational system.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The selected candidate will provide technical leadership in software architecture and systems integration, enabling complex operational environments to leverage data across multiple platforms and domains. This role requires a strong understanding of large-scale software architectures, systems engineering principles, and mission-focused system integration.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in software architecture, system integration, and technical leadership, along with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions that support mission-critical DoD operational requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full time position located at MacDill AFB, FL or Ft. Belvoir, VA. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>***Contingent upon contract award***</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Duties include, but not limited to: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Lead the design and development of a common software architecture that integrates diverse applications and data sources into a unified operational system.</p></li>\n <li><p>Develop innovative technical solutions that address complex operational requirements and enhance situational awareness capabilities.</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with program goals and organizational objectives.</p></li>\n <li><p>Resolve highly complex technical challenges using advanced technical knowledge, conceptual reasoning, and innovative problem-solving approaches.</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct research and apply industry best practices and emerging technologies to develop mission-focused software solutions.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support development and integration of large-scale systems that combine multiple data sources, applications, and platforms.</p></li>\n <li><p>Collaborate with executive leadership, government stakeholders, and program leadership to advocate for new concepts, practices, and architectural approaches.</p></li>\n <li><p>Serve as a subject matter expert in software architecture and systems integration, mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.</p></li>\n <li><p>Support technical planning, architecture design reviews, and system engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle.</p></li>\n <li><p>Influence development of solutions that impact strategic program objectives, operational capabilities, and mission outcomes.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>***Contingent upon contract award***</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Citizenship: Must be a US citizen</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Minimum Required Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Clearance</strong><strong>: </strong>Active Secret (ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly required)</p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related STEM field</p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> 8 years of Relevant Experience </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong expertise in RF engineering, spectrum management, signal processing, and sensor systems.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with sensors, radar, communications systems, and electronic warfare platforms.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in signal processing software and languages and experience with AI/ML applied to sensor data.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with multi-domain operational concepts, situational awareness systems, and DoD sensor architectures.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, lead technical efforts, and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></em></p>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong>Master’s or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline</p>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong>10+ years of Relevant Experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or defense technology programs</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting large-scale systems integration, situational awareness platforms, or operational command and control systems</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Technical Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Expertise in integrating diverse applications and data sources into unified systems</p></li>\n <li><p>In-depth understanding of software architecture principles, theories, and concepts</p></li>\n <li><p>Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in software architecture and systems integration</p></li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Interpersonal Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Strong ability to resolve highly complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and reasoning</p></li>\n <li><p>Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and influencing strategic outcomes</p></li>\n <li><p>Exceptional communication skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and stakeholders</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to mentor and develop technical teams</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Additional Information</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Tampa, FL or Fort Belvoir, VA</p>\n<p><strong>Travel: </strong>As needed</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-DD1</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>***Contingent upon contract award***</strong></p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Odyssey </strong>is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
