    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>San Antonio Thermo King is Now Hiring a Refrigeration Technician I at 575 Northpoint Drive Temple, TX 76501.</p>\n<p>As a refrigeration technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, Installation/ removal of Thermo King refrigeration units, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance, such as, hoses, batteries, starters, alternators, etc. As well as performing Preventive Maintenance on trailers, trucks, apu’s.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform Preventive Maintenance on trailers, trucks, apu’s.</li>\n <li>Basic refrigeration skills & diagnosis- leak check, recovery, evacuation & charging.</li>\n <li>Replacement of components as needed such as belts, hoses, batteries, starters, alternators, etc.</li>\n <li>Basic electrical skills & diagnosis utilizing DVOM and other tools as required.</li>\n <li>Battery Maintenance & diagnosis.</li>\n <li>Installation/ removal of Thermo King refrigeration units.</li>\n <li>Use of computer/ laptop to apply to and complete work orders, read service documents/ material, electrical wiring diagrams & schematics, refrigeration flow diagrams, aid in diagnosis, etc.</li>\n <li>Housekeeping- keeps work area, service bay(s), toolbox clean and orderly.</li>\n <li>Follows safe working practices and company policies, wears proper PPE.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Competencies </strong>      </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Self-motivated and the ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.</li>\n <li>Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Preventive Maintenance experience on all makes and models Refer units and Apu’s.</li>\n <li>Experience in refrigeration skills and diagnostics.</li>\n <li>Contributes to a positive team environment by leading by example through commitment, respect, and communication.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates quality work through accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail of own work.</li>\n <li>Ability to problem solve and demonstrate good judgement and decision-making skills.</li>\n <li>Possesses a positive attitude and ability to develop and build relationships.</li>\n <li>Commitment to a high standard of excellence in customer service.</li>\n <li>Shows adaptability by effectively responding to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.</li>\n <li>Exhibits superior dependability by consistently arriving to work on time and as scheduled.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates professionalism by acting with integrity, high moral standards, and personal accountability.</li>\n <li>Shows organizational support by consistently following policy and procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>One year of experience and TK certified or in the process of TK certification.</li>\n <li>Ideal candidate will possess a mechanical background and trade school or related education.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills and knowledge required.</li>\n <li>Must have own tools- DVOM, refrigeration gauges, hand tools, power tools, etc.</li>\n <li>Ability to perform basic mathematic skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work overtime as required.</li>\n <li>Comprehends and able to apply basic refrigeration and 12VDC/ Ohm’s Law fundamentals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Activities & Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.  Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.</li>\n <li>Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers. </li>\n <li>Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.</li>\n <li>Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.</li>\n <li>Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.</li>\n <li>Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.</li>\n <li>Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.</li>\n <li>Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.</li>\n</ul>",
