We are now hiring a Preschool Teacher in Training to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>$5,000 sign-on bonus payable in four installments ($1,000 after completion of months 3, 6, 9 &amp; $2,000 after 1 year &ndash; external applicants only).</li><li>Paid time off, personal day and holidays.</li><li>Breakfast and lunch (served in the classroom as part of our family style meals).</li><li>Excellent compensation package that includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement benefits and match, and Employee Assistance Program.</li><li>Financial funding for career growth and professional development.</li></ul><p><strong>Your role:</strong></p><ul><li>Assists in planning, implementing and documenting a comprehensive child development program for preschool aged children.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists in developing child focused goals in partnership with families, adhering to timelines and coordinating center/home visits with each family. &nbsp;</li><li>Ensures program&rsquo;s full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Maine State Licensing Requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required.&nbsp;</li><li>The Teacher-in-Training must obtain&nbsp;a minimum of a Preschool CDA 12 months after they are hired in the position.&nbsp;YCCAC will financially support the Teacher-in-Training with completing their CDA.</li><li>3 or more years of experience in a center or home-based setting, specializing in Preschool with an emphasis on Preschool Mental Health theories or practices preferred. &nbsp;</li><li>Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet families&rsquo; needs and have a reliable vehicle for travel.</li><li>Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>To be considered, please include a cover letter with your resume.
