    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Registered Nurse, Pre-Operative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit&ndash; Olympia Orthopaedic Associates</strong></p><p><strong><em>Location:</em></strong> Centralia Surgery Center&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Job Type:</em></strong> Full-time</p><p><strong><em>Schedule:&nbsp;</em></strong>The surgery center is primarily open Monday-Friday, but occasional Saturdays may be worked. The Pre-Op/PACU team rotates on-call, and some over-night shifts may be required depending on patient needs and recovery time.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Pay:</em></strong>&nbsp;$42.40 - $71.52 per hour</p><p>(Pay is determined based on years of experience)</p><p><strong><em>Summary of benefits:&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p>OOA covers part or all of the cost for Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-term Disability Insurance. Employees are eligible to participate in a 401k plan with company matching. Flex spending plans, uniform allowances, and an Employee Assistance Program available as well. New, full-time staff will accrue a minimum of 17 days of paid time off per year.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>Olympia Orthopaedics is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and smoke-free workplace. If offered employment, passage of background screen and pre-employment drug screen is required. Please note nicotine levels are included in testing.</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Registered Nurse Job Duties:</strong></p><p><strong>Pre-Operative &ndash;</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Administering care to patients prior to surgery.&nbsp;</li><li>Administer pre-surgery medication under the guidance of the physician and or physician assistant.</li><li>Evaluate and access admission documents, identify emergency procedures, and adhere to necessary pre-operation policies and procedures.</li></ul><p><strong>PACU-</strong></p><ul><li>Monitors (heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiratory rate)</li><li>Treating symptoms of postoperative nausea and vomiting&nbsp;</li><li>Managing post-operative pain</li><li>Treating post-anesthetic shivering</li><li>Monitoring surgical site(s) for excessive bleeding, discharge, swelling, hematoma, redness, etc.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Registered Nurse Job Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>IV Therapy experience (starting, discontinuing IVs, and administering medication).</li><li>Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing program.
