    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>Provides technical leadership across Group functional departments including engineering and design, pre­ construction, business development, and operations. Manages and provides support and oversees any contracted or in-house design services and provides owner technical interface.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Administers personnel functions, including recruiting, review and approval of job descriptions and salary classifications, and selection and placement of personnel.<br/>2.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Advises and provides direction to staff on proper execution of complex and advanced deliverables; potentially serving as Engineer of Record for select design components.<br/>3.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Coordinates in-house engineering and design staff assignments and workloads; develop staffing forecasts and budgets.<br/>4.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develops work scopes and labor estimates for in-house design tasks.<br/>5.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal laws, guidelines, procedures, rules, regulations, and policies.<br/>6.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ensures contracted and in-house designs are completed with consistent application of design standards, technical approaches, and in accordance with the design quality management program.<br/>7.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Leads and manages technical teams during pursuit and final design projects.<br/>8.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Leads the exploration of alternate designs or new technologies to challenge the status quo and promote exploration of new and innovative design solutions.<br/>9.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Monitors and report progress against design budget and schedule.<br/>10.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Recommends new policies or procedures as necessary.<br/>11.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Stays current with and assures compliance of governmental requirements and completes all required records.</p><p><strong>Minimum Job Requirements</strong></p><p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor's degree in Engineering required<br/>2.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;EIT/PE certification(s) strongly preferred<br/>3.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Exceptional verbal and written communication skills<br/>4.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs</p><p>Note: Job Description is subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned.</p><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis<br/>2.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures<br/>3.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis<br/>4.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/workday<br/>5.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis.<br/>6.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.<br/>7.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors</p><p><strong>Safety Level</strong></p><p>Safety-Sensitive</p><p>Note: Jobs with the Safety-Sensitive designation are those that include tasks or duties that the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others such as operating a vehicle, operating equipment, operating machinery or power tools, repairing/maintaining the operation of any vehicle/equipment, the handling/disposal/transport of hazardous materials, or the handling/treatment/disposal of potentially flammable/combustible materials.</p>\n",
