Summary&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span>OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full time Mechanical Product Development Engineer to work at our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ.&nbsp; This position reports to the Product Development Mechanical Engineering Manager and is focused on the development of automation equipment and processes in the fields of mail processing and document develop.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p><p><span>The&nbsp;Mechanical Product Development Engineer will play a key role in conceiving of, developing and productizing industry-leading, highly integrated, software controlled electro-mechanical solutions that drive process efficiency and transactional integrity for our customers.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>This role will:</span></p><ul><li><span>Ultimately lead the delivery of complex production-level designs for new products and support those new products through production start and initial field adoption</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with all engineering disciplines as well as management, manufacturing and service representatives</span></li><li><span>Architect new products and product improvements</span></li><li><span>Participate in project schedule creation</span></li><li><span>Participate in brainstorms of best ideas and solutions</span></li><li><span>Lead analytical and empirical design-guidance data mining efforts</span></li><li><span>Lead design efforts within and beyond CAD</span></li><li><span>Strive to deliver solutions that meet functional, cost and schedule requirements</span></li><li><span>Provide guidance to mechanical designers and technicians</span></li><li><span>Lead and participate in concept and design reviews</span></li><li><span>Develop necessary breadboards and prototypes&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Lead design-confirmation testing&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Lead reliability testing</span></li><li><span>Provide timely and accurate project updates to management</span></li><li><span>Work closely with in-house manufacturing and assembly teams and outside vendors&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Close projects in a strong manner by ensuring timely delivery of manufacturing documentation, cost data and necessary safety certificates</span></li><li><span>Take ownership of tasks from start to finish</span></li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0.5in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Requirements</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering</span></li><li><span>5+ years of hands-on electro-mechanical product/machine/equipment design engineering experience</span></li><li><span>Experience bringing creative and innovative mechanical solutions to and through Production&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>3+ years of Solid Modeling experience (Inventor, Creo/ProEngineer, Solidworks, etc.)</span></li><li><span>Injection molded plastic part design experience would be a plus</span></li><li><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated engineering creativity, organizational skill and ability to multi-task</span></li><li><span>Hands-on design guidance and design confirmation testing and data acquisition experience</span></li><li><span>Mechanical analytical experience (FEA, DOE, Test Plans, Engineering statistical analysis, tolerance analysis, etc.)</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and how to design to best leverage them</span></li><li><span>Strong team player and comfortable leading small groups of engineers and designers</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated ability to own an assignment and see it through to completion</span></li><li><span>Skilled in the areas of schedule and cost estimation and adherence</span></li><li><span>Comfortable working on cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, software and safety engineers and able to collaborate effectively and efficiently</span></li><li><span>Engineering project management experience would be a plus</span></li><li><span>Experience with designing electro-mechanical products for high volumes (10k+ per year) would be a plus</span></li><li><span>A keen design eye and experience reviewing others’ design work would be a plus</span></li><li><span>Design engineering experience in the printing, scanning, copying industries would be a plus</span></li><li><span>Ability to travel when necessary (typically less than 2 weeks per year)</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Physical/Work Environments</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Employee will primarily be working in an office environment<strong>&nbsp;</strong>with occasional travel to customer sites (4 days in the office per
