We are seeking an established Water Resources professional with a passion for Stormwater and Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) to lead and grow our team in Northern Colorado (Fort Collins). This individual will be at the helm of overall staffing, supervision, management, and growth of the practice.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">As a leader contributing to employee development and management of departmental activity, this individual will ultimately be responsible for:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Managing clients and undertaking business development activities,</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Preparation of proposals/ contracts, and</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Representing ESP and client(s) in public settings.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establish, lead and grow the Water Resources team in the Fort Collins office.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Partnering with Clients to perform planning studies and a variety of modeling approaches associated with municipal water resources projects.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare and review statements of qualifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Management of design development, preparation and/or administration of the contract documents, cost estimates, agency correspondence, client relations, staff supervision and mentoring. Exciting projects include Municipal Stormwater Studies, Municipal Stormwater Capital Improvement Projects (CIP), LOMR/CLOMR (FEMA Map Revisions), Greenway Design, Municipal Embedded Staff Augmentation, Stormwater Drainage Master Plans, Stream Mitigation, Grant Support Services, Water / Sewer Planning and Design, and other similar projects.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Building the team and overall growth of the group.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Presentations to Public officials, selection committees, and public engagement.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Business development and marketing of clients including networking, active participation in professional development forums, presenting work to professional organizations, writing proposals, and maintaining budgets and backlog reporting for projected work.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Project contract preparation, invoicing, and financial reporting.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related engineering degree.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Professional Engineer (PE) Registration in Colorado.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">10+ years of professional engineering design and project management experience.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">A strong background in Stormwater and Capital Improvement Projects.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent financial management skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with the ability to adjust to project priorities and requests of multiple clients.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience working with local codes, ordinances and public agency standards related to Stormwater and Capital Improvement Projects.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong business development skills along with knowledge of the local market.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong collaborator and presenter in front of boards and Councils for multiple project types.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to liaise with public sector clients, maintain client relationships, manage projects and mentor staff.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills that will allow you to effectively and professionally interact with clients, government officials and the public.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience with developing and following a formalized QA/QC program.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company&rsquo;s driving (MVR) policy.&nbsp;</li></ul></div><p id=\"isPasted\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"><strong>Corporate Information:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">ESP is a multi-discipline engineering design and consulting firm providing our clients with civil engineering, surveying, planning/landscape architecture, geosciences, environmental, subsurface utility engineering, and construction engineering inspection.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Through years of dedicated service to our clients, ESP has received a designation of 195 on the 2025 ENR Top 500 Design Firm rankings.
