Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Enters customers' transactions into computer and issues tickets</li>\n <li>Cashes tickets, cancels tickets and pays out winnings.</li>\n <li>Counts all cash on hand at end of shift to balance to net cash responsibility.</li>\n <li>Provides friendly and efficient guest service.</li>\n <li>Sells vouchers and provides results and summaries as requested.</li>\n <li>Ensures scheduled simulcast races are on designated monitors in the OTB. Using the designated switching system.</li>\n <li>Tellers will punch tickets expeditiously and accurately.</li>\n <li>Tellers will take wagers, count back change and cash winning tickets accurately.</li>\n <li>Tellers will ensure all underage customers remain outside the green line. </li>\n <li>Tellers will ask for proof of age from any guest who appears to be 27 or under and attempts to place a wager (follow Quality Standard “Verify ID for Wagering”).</li>\n <li>Tellers will assist novice wagerers with the wagering process by taking time to place and explain wagers in a friendly and non-intimidating manner.</li>\n <li>Tellers will ensure that guests complete IRS forms as required.</li>\n <li>Tellers will adhere to uniform grooming and appearance standards. </li>\n <li>Tellers will answer or seek answers to all guest questions, including questions regarding the property, products and promotions.</li>\n <li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>BRING US YOUR BEST.</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.</li>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communicating skills.</li>\n <li>Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages etc.</li>\n <li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.</li>\n <li>Must be licensed by Maine Harness Racing Commission.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>STAY IN THE GAME.
