The Lead Estimator reports directly to the Senior Preconstruction Manager. You’ll develop through hands‑on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training. \n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<strong>Responsible for:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Develops cost estimates from take‐off stage to bid hand‐off. </li>\n <li>Develops cost estimates for change orders. </li>\n <li>Analyzes material and labor requirements to complete a project.</li>\n <li>Attends pre‐bid and scope review meetings. </li>\n <li>Computes and submits bids. </li>\n <li>Reading & thoroughly understanding blueprints. </li>\n <li>Meets with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers.</li>\n <li>Visually inspects project locations to determine the amount of labor and materials needed to do the work. </li>\n <li>Contacts vendors for pricing. </li>\n <li>Assesses the costs of leasing equipment. </li>\n <li>Maintains the change order submissions/documents in an organized and standardized manner. Works with the project team to develop this standard.</li>\n <li>Analyzes material and labor requirements to complete a project.</li>\n <li>Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings.</li>\n <li>Ability to coordinate and organize other estimators</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<strong>Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and evaluate specifications and blueprints.</li>\n <li>Ability to deal effectively with customers. </li>\n <li>Ability to analyze risks involved with certain project types. </li>\n <li>Ability to estimate large and small projects. </li>\n <li>Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure. </li>\n <li>Excellent math skills. </li>\n <li>Strong communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills- Specifically in Microsoft Suite Applications</li>\n <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
