We combine industry partnerships and long-term federal experience with innovative technical leadership to support our customers’ critical missions.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions  </li>\n <li>Build and optimize data workflows across data warehouse, data lake, and analytics platforms  </li>\n <li>Lead ingestion, transformation, curation, and delivery of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data  </li>\n <li>Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring across pipelines and datasets  </li>\n <li>Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and security of data processing solutions  </li>\n <li>Develop reusable engineering patterns, frameworks, and best practices  </li>\n <li>Support cloud-based data platform development, with strong emphasis on <strong>Databricks</strong> and related cloud services  </li>\n <li>Collaborate with engineers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions  </li>\n <li>Support design and delivery of <strong>Big Data, Advanced Analytics, and Machine Learning</strong> use cases  </li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership through code reviews, troubleshooting, standards development, and mentoring  </li>\n <li>Evaluate and apply new data technologies that improve capability, efficiency, or maintainability  </li>\n <li>Maintain technical documentation for pipelines, transformations, data flows, and engineering standards  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field  </li>\n <li><strong>8+ years of experience</strong> developing and coding software or data engineering solutions  </li>\n <li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>Databricks</strong> and cloud-based data technologies  </li>\n <li>Strong experience building and maintaining large-scale <strong>ETL/ELT pipelines</strong> and data integration solutions  </li>\n <li>Experience supporting data warehouse, data lake, and analytics platform architectures  </li>\n <li>Strong programming skills in <strong>Python, Scala, SQL</strong>, or similar data engineering languages  </li>\n <li>Experience optimizing data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability  </li>\n <li>Experience implementing data quality, security, and operational controls in production environments  </li>\n <li>Ability to support advanced analytics and machine learning delivery from a data engineering perspective  </li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional technical teams  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as <strong>Apache Spark</strong>  </li>\n <li>Experience supporting <strong>Big Data</strong> and <strong>Advanced Analytics</strong> platforms in cloud environments  </li>\n <li>Experience enabling or supporting <strong>Machine Learning</strong> workflows and feature or training data pipelines  </li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>CI/CD, automation, and deployment practices</strong> for data platforms  </li>\n <li>Experience with cloud-native data services in <strong>AWS</strong> or similar environments  </li>\n <li>Experience mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Certifications</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty  </li>\n <li>Data Science Council of America (DASCA) certifications  </li>\n <li>Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate  </li>\n <li>Databricks Certified Developer for Apache Spark  </li>\n <li>Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate  </li>\n <li>Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional  </li>\n <li>AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty  </li>\n <li>Python or Scala programming certification  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Clearance Requirement</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a <strong>U.S. Citizen</strong> with the ability to obtain and maintain <strong>U.S. suitability</strong>  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About Acuity</strong></p>\n<p>At Acuity, your work matters—and so does your experience.
