Works with the Site Director regarding daily duties/ needs of the program; ensures classroom and materials are properly maintained sustains and engaging atmosphere throughout the day.&nbsp;</li><li><!--block--><strong>Classroom Management:</strong> Create a nurturing and structured environment that supports children’s emotional and social development. Use effective behavior management techniques to foster a positive and respectful atmosphere. Supervises children to ensure safety, appropriate behavior, and smooth transitions.</li><li><!--block--><strong>Student Engagement:</strong> Provide individualized support and encouragement to students, ensuring that each child’s needs are met and that they are actively participating in after-school activities.</li><li><!--block--><strong>Family Communication:</strong> Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress and any relevant program information. Address any concerns or feedback from families in a timely and professional manner.</li><li><!--block--><strong>YMCA Mission Integration:</strong> Embody and promote the YMCA of Greater Boston’s mission and values through all interactions with students, families, and colleagues. Encourage students to engage in activities that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.</li><li><!--block--><strong>Professional Collaboration:</strong> Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive program. Attends regular staff meetings and Association-wide or regional events as assigned. Participates in at least 20 hours of training per year and meets EEC/YMCA training guidelines.
